Professional Certified Instructor

We take our responsibility of helping you with your dog very seriously!    Lorette is a certified and tested Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. This certification required knowledge testing, 250 hours of training and on-going continuing eduction credits.

The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), established in 2001, is the leading independent certifying organization for the dog training profession. The CCPDT is the leader in the development of rigorous exams to demonstrate mastery of humane, science-based dog training practices. Thousands of dog training professionals worldwide maintain the CCPDT’s certifications as a mark of high professional distinction.

Taking the Pet out of Petrified!  Training with a mission of preventing and alleviating fear, anxiety and stress in pets and inspiring and educating their owners who care for them.  This includes training animals how to visit the veterinarian and have it be a pleasant experience, training the pet and people how to get consent and cooperation for medications, grooming and other types of handling.   Lorette, aka, The Canine Tutor, is an approved Fear Free Training and an approved Fear Free Speaker.  She is available for speaking engagements, clinic meetings, breakout sessions and consulting.


The goals of the IAABC are to standardize and support the practice of animal behavior consulting, to provide quality, evidence-based education. IAABC certifications are the most rigorous in the field, and assess people working in multiple species, with private clients and in shelters,

AAII is a non-profit association and coalition of practitioners that have strong foundations of positive ineractions with people and animals.

Lorette is a member of the Midwest Labrador Retriever Club.   MWLRC is a Breed Specialty Club dedicated to preserving and promoting the labrador retriever.  Lorette works with many labradors both in her assistance dog work and with private clients.
